Recently, De Miguel Diez et al. [1] have published an interesting study concluding that the incidence of hospitalizations for community acquired pneumonia (CAP) increased over time in patients with and without COPD, being higher in the COPD population, and showing no differences in mortality between COPD and non-COPD patients. There are a few ideas reflected in the results and discussion of the study that we want to highlight.
