Hospital hyperglycemia (HH), defined as any glycemia value >140mg/dl according the last consensus [1], may occur in people who were previously diagnosed diabetes, as well as in those with undiagnosed diabetes or without diabetes, the last case is also called stress hyperglycemia (SH) [2].
