Welcome to our Autumn newsletter!
September and October have been extremely busy at EFIM Headquarters as we’ve been working on several new projects, the scientific program of ECIM 2022, the fellowship program and the launch of EFIM Academy.
We held our first face to face meeting in Brussels with the Executive Committee and organised the 6th EFIM Day virtually. We were glad to have most of our members present during the 6th EFIM Day to discuss the issues each country is currently facing.
While we are all working on bringing this pandemic under control in our hospitals, the Executive Committee is busy finalizing the scientific program for the next ECIM 2022.
ECIM 2022 will once again focus on sharing innovative developments and providing a comprehensive overview of state-of-the art treatment of common conditions in internal medicine practice. The current COVID-19 pandemic has confirmed that Internal Medicine must be one of the cornerstones of the European health care systems.
As we look towards the autumn, we are excited to announce the launch of the EFIM Academy.
EFIM Academy will be the key tool of EFIM for serving the internal medicine community with educational information on carefully selected and prioritized topics. We hope that the platform will be the academic home of worldwide internist.
The EFIM Academy will be officially launched during the ECIM 2022 congress.
We are looking forward to seeing you all in Malaga 2022.

EFIM Academy is a pan-European initiative which aims to respond to the educational needs of the Internal Medicine community pursuing high quality, continuous learning objectives through modern platforms of learning. The content is designed not only to convey theoretical knowledge but also to improve clinical reasoning skills.
